I like the snazzy new (old) banner!

I really enjoyed the Ray Plamer article, especially considering that I like astronomy and Carl Sagan. Now if only comics could get their scientific facts right every now and then to go along with all that inspiring-kids-to-do-great-things. Lots of jargon is thrown around today as "science" but writers never seem to check up on the facts, even the small ones. :)

I pulled the first Direct Currents banner from a 1977 comic I had lying around, because I refused to put any excess thought/effort into a linkpost design. Then I stumbled onto that ginchy 1967 number while researching the Mr. V post, and it cleaned real nice.

Didn't there used to be a character whose answer to any questioning of his technobabble was "It's Science!" That's comics writing in a nutshell. Inconsistent continuity? Left field characterization? Disregard for the laws of physics? "It's Pseudoscience! Do not question!"
