A first look at CAFU’s T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS

Not long ago, we broke the news that Nick Spencer and artist CAFU would be relaunching the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS in November – along with a lovely cover by superstar artist Frank Quitely. But why stop there? Editor Wil Moss was kind enough to not only shoot over some lovely CAFU character designs, but he also kept me on the phone for a few minutes to talk up just what you guys are looking at. So, what’s the score, Wil?

Comic Twart's Stunning Sandmen

Asking accomplished comics artists to each draw their own Sandman rendition is akin saying, "Hey, sketch Captain Marvel for me." The name belongs to several men on both sides of the Marvel/DC dividing aisle, which makes Evan Shaner's "Legion of Sandmen" group portrait all the more awesome. The same artists club at Comic Twart that brought us Luke Cage drawings for Comic-Con has now seen fit to address The Sandman as envisioned by Neil Gaiman and otherwise, and the results are magnificent.

'Batman: The Brave and the Bold' HappyMeal Toys on the Way at McDonalds

The line will include mini action figures of Batman, Blue Beetle, the Joker, Plastic Man, Aquaman and Green Arrow, plus vehicles like the Batmobile and Black Manta's sub. Unlike most of Marvel's toys, most of these figures sport some serviceable articulation in addition to their action feature to boot.
