Those are some pretty cool visuals for the Blue Beetle show. But still, I just don't get why Jaime Reyes is so popular. Maybe I'm too old to get it and maybe he's geared more towards kids like on the Brave and the Bold cartoon? Maybe it's a guy thing and I find the giant bug wings and scarab-in-the-back thing gross? I wish I could explain it. Plus, he's just too...."Marvel," if that makes any sense.

(Or maybe I'm just jealous that Ted Kord didn't get his own show and the adoration of millions. That's probably more like it, knowing me.)

I've got nothing particularly for or against Jaime. He's another in the long line of Peter Parker clones, but he isn't annoying about it. His powers and their origins are more interesting to me than any of the previous Beetles. I'm glad he's both a Latino and a Texan, since El Diablo did no one any favors. I see some potential in him, and hope his success continues, but I'm not a Blue Beetle fan in any incarnation.
