2023 Fan Expo Chicago JLA JAM Black Canary segment by Angel Medina

I have to confess that I feel bad about singling out this detail. I'm pretty sure that I got this final piece in Chicago, in part because I didn't get around to scanning/photocopying most of the work that I commissioned there. I then took it to HeroesCon the following year to be colored, apparently without so much as taking a photograph first, so to my knowledge there's no unadulterated version of Angel Medina's contribution. Further, this was a character not featured in the original layout reference, and she had to be squeezed into narrow available space, fit to scale with the other heroes. I've digitally "bleached" as much of the colors/tones as was feasible, so some of Medina's detail may have been lost. Plus, there was another artists signature in the leg space that Medina didn't want to obscure, and the color artist might have altered his intent to tie the final piece together. Finally, ideally, this would have been the last detail posted, so that I wouldn't feel the need to alter/conceal so much of the image, but I decided to rush this through to take advantage of #JSApril eyeballs. There's just so many compromises and considerations, but as always, Anhel did excellent work despite those hardships!
